Nadège R. Petrie, LPC, LMHC, is the founder and owner of Hopeful Minds Counseling Services Corp, located in Newberg and Beaverton, Oregon. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. As a Haitian-American, Nadège’s passion for trauma-focused mental health care stems from personal experience, including the profound loss of her parents. This life-altering event inspired her commitment to helping others heal and thrive.

Nadège earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille University in Buffalo, New York, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, as well as a degree in Clinical Psychology. Her goals include directing a trauma counseling center, conducting brain-based trauma research, and creating mental health initiatives in developing countries and the U.S.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Director at Hopeful Minds Counseling Services Corp, Nadège works with trauma clients, supervises clinicians, and leads therapy initiatives. She has years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, families (including blended families), and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities in both community mental health and private practice settings. Her trauma-informed care approach empowers clients to understand how past experiences shape their lives while focusing on their strengths to foster healing. She has helped individuals recover from PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and more.

Nadège’s academic background includes degrees in International Studies and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which have shaped her expertise in trauma recovery and evidence-based care. She is deeply committed to cultural sensitivity, volunteers annually in Haiti, and strives to foster understanding and inclusivity in her work with perse populations.

Outside of work, Nadège enjoys running marathons, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
