Human beings are incredibly resilient, and we can be even more so with the assistance of a trained counselor. Ian is a graduate student from Oregon State University’s clinical mental health program, and he is interning at Hopeful Minds in Newberg, Oregon to assist clients in their goals, whether those be related to trauma, anxiety disorders, or life transitions.

Ian takes a strength-based, client-centered approach when working with clients, drawing on aspects of solution-focused therapy, CBT, and ACT techniques.

Together, Ian will partner with you in addressing your goals and the obstacles that may be preventing you from reaching them, with the ultimate focus being personal growth into the human being you want to be. Whether the challenges you face are within you and/or come from external pressures, the goal is to form a collaborative partnership where you are free to show up however you are in the world, with whatever you bring into the relationship on any given day.
